TheDock use palette of five colors (defined in HEX, RGB or using a color picker) which can be applied to your sections and blocks. Each color in the palette is extended with automated tints and shades (only shades for very light colors and only tints for very back colors). Changing a color in your palette will instantly manifest in all instances using that color, including any shades or tints used.
To ensure accessibility, the theme calculates contrast between the colors of the palette and set text color for optimal legibility. The text color will be applied automatically to all elements using background color another text color can be specified if preferred.
To get your started quicker, there are a number of preset color palettes available.
If you want further inspiration or feeling lucky, your can try our palette randomizer. Remember you can always use the "Undo" button in the top bar to reverse any action, so you can try and go back to where you were if the result was not what you were hoping for.
Clicking invert will change place of your Primary and Secondary colors, including the variants.
If you need to extend your palette, you can add as many Swatches as you like.
Swatches also support the use of color gradients using our a builtin generator. Gradient swatches that use colors from the palette will automatically be adjusted if a color in the palette change.
